Rothwell Figg is seeking a Foreign Prosecution Project Assistant to process incoming email and documents as well as preparing correspondence to and from clients, foreign associates and vendors regarding new applications, formal requirements, filing details, etc. Successful candidates must have work experience in an professional services environment; proficiency using computer software and data entry systems; strong attention to detail; good organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills; and must be a team player. This hybrid work position is located in the Washington, DC office. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing, logging, and profiling incoming emails and documents;
- Route, sort, and classify incoming emails and documents according to established guidelines, such as content, purpose, etc.;
- Input data, such as file numbers or document information into computer systems to support information retrieval;
- Add new material to electronic records;
- Prepare and review appropriate correspondence to and from clients, foreign associates and vendors regarding new applications, formal requirements, filing details, etc.;
- Support the Foreign Prosecution Manager with various clerical tasks as needed to support the goals of the department; and
- Prepare documents and spreadsheets as needed for tracking purposes.

- Prepare drafts and file executed documents during patent prosecution stage such as Responses/Amendments, IDS’s, petitions, etc.;
- Keep up to date on USPTO rules;
- Revise documents, including generating tables of content and authorities for briefs;
- Make travel arrangements and process expense reports;
- Time entry and electronic file maintenance; and
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

Rothwell Figg seeks a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in the area of patent litigation, who must be able to handle all aspects of complex litigations, from pre-litigation phase, through trial and appeal. Successful candidates must have applicable knowledge of federal district court rules and procedures, litigation terminology and documentation, and docketing procedures; strong organizational and analytical skills; the ability to set priorities and multi-task; and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Candidates must be computer proficient, with experience and working knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw and other litigation-research databases. IP litigation (federal courts), PTAB and/or ITC experience is a plus. This position requires flexibility to work overtime as needed and some travel may be required.
