Rothwell Figg seeks an experienced associate attorney to join its thriving biology, biotechnology, and chemical patent litigation practice. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a wide variety of patent litigation matters in the biology, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields with quality domestic and foreign clients.

The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field, and will have three to five years of biologics, pharmaceutical, chemical or biotech litigation, PTAB, and/or related patent litigation experience. Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office is preferred. Prior experience working on BPCIA and/or Hatch Waxman litigation matters is a plus. Top academic credentials, strong analytical abilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work well on a team are required.  Rothwell Figg offers a hybrid work schedule, competitive salaries, and excellent benefits.

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $365,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Rothwell Figg is seeking an experienced associate to join our litigation practice in Washington DC. The associate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of intellectual property litigation matters concerning patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks, as well as post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, opinions, counseling, and transactions. This role is ideal for a candidate seeking to advance their career within an exciting and fast-paced high-tech litigation group.  

 

The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience with intellectual property matters, including patent and/or copyright litigation. An undergraduate or advanced degree, or industry experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or Physics is required. Outstanding legal research and analytical abilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, a team player, and an interest in taking ownership of projects and increased levels of responsibilities for client matters are required. You must be admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing, and will need to be admitted to the D.C. Bar. Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required.
